It all started with my own side gig that I ran from my phone and laptop. I knew that just quiting my job and hoping wasn't a plan, I'd done that twice before and it was more than likely I'd end up back where I've been twice before - slavery in another 9 to 5! I had a false belief at the time. I thought it would be easy...

I thought I could start my own online business without having the knowledge and understanding on how to do so...

Just by using what I had learnt in school and in my marketing degree...the traditional routes in life...

But the traditional routes is what everyone else goes through, right?

And everyone else, the 99%, are on the path that society has decided for them...9 to 5 until death...

So I knew that the knowledge I had already wouldn't be and wasn't enough...

And I thought...for some reason, that I was the only one trying to start my own business. That it was something brand new. Which, clearly it wasn't...

But the way I was going about it, I must have thought that...

Not once did I think "oh yeah others have done this too" and then looked at them for help, a blueprint to help me do it too...

When the penny finally dropped and I realised that others out there had done this, it was a real ah-ha moment, and a moment I'll never forget...

And the funny thing was, the more I learnt, and the more people I studied, their journeys and their experiences, I eventually had the ah-ha moment that  they too walked a different path and they too looked to OTHERS to help them get the result they desperately wanted...

These people had mentors too!

Mentors that helped them get to where they are today! 

They had invested in themselves too!

Just like I was doing now!

But knowing that was the easy part...

The hard part was knowing exactly WHO to follow...who to learn from...who to study from...

I went down rabbit hole after rabbit hole, wasting my presence time on this earth, and money, lots and lots of money following and listening to those not worthy of my time or money...

For every 1 "goodie" they was 5 "baddies" as I call them...

Not providing anything useful...

Just wasting my TIME. 

And just looking for my MONEY.

Which lead me to disappointment, after disappointment...

And to losing my drive to even try...

And even my self confidence was taking a hit...

But I eventually came across the ones that WANTED to help others...

It was from studying these mentors where I acquired their knowledge, shared their experiences and gained the self confidence that would take me on my own personal development journey to become the person I needed to be in order to start my own side gig, and then to turn it into a fully functional online business...

Which then lead me to handing in my notice to my boss...
